Dr. Barry Littell
Dr. Deb Littell and Riverside Animal Hospital has been a life saver for us. Literally! When we got Emma, she was 8 weeks old. She kept getting sick and by the time she was a year old, I really didn't think that we would have her much longer. We spent thousands of dollars by this time and I talked to many different vets besides that one we had then. No one helped her at all.
Then I found Dr. Deb when Emma was about a year old. I can't tell you how much time she put in figuring out what was wrong. I've never met a more compassionate, dedicated person. Emma is almost 6 years old now, and is a happy, healthy dog. She is off all of her medications except for her allergies.
Dr. Deb and her staff are not only wonderful with Emma, but are patient with me! (I'm not sure that's not an even bigger challenge than Emma's health issues sometimes). The employee's at Riverside are pretty wonderful as well. Their love and dedication to their patients is obvious. Emma loves to go in to visit her friends there. (There is always petting, treats and/or kind words involved).
There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Deb saved Emma's life and we can never thank her enough for that!
Any animal with Dr. Deb and her staff at Riverside as their caregivers is lucky indeed!

Thank you to Dr. Deb and Dr. Barry Littell and the staff at Riverside Animal Hospital. I can't say how much I appreciate the care given to my cats (both inside and strays) when they were spayed or neutered and vaccinated (all 15-20 of them). A special thank you for the care and attention given to my cats when they have been injured or sick, which has been many times. You always go the extra steps.
Once again, thank you.
I recommend Riverside Animal Hospital to anyone who desires to have the best of the best care for their pet. I have received personal attention to all of my animals' needs. We have a diverse animal repertoire and the doctors and staff have always accommodated our needs. The Littell's deliver well rounded, but conservative care always considering my pets' best interest as well as my family. The staff is always caring and tactful when attending to the needs of our pets. I would not trust anyone else to care for my pets. Dr. Deb and Barry and their staff are an important part of our family.

Barry and I go clear back to the 70's when we worked together at MBJ Quarter Horse Ranch in Kansas. He managed the breeding barn. He worked very well with the veterinarian on staff and it didn't surprise me when Barry decided to go to veterinarian school at Kansas State.
It was quite a surprise when Dr. Barry and I ran into each other at the Kearney Mall many years ago. Here we were in the same area! Naturally, I began to use him as my horse's vet.
Dr. Barry has always been available when my horses have needed him. He saved one of my horse's life. Dr. Deb and Dr. Barry were on their way back from the Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas. Something was up with my young horse. I called and they were still on their way back to Nebraska. He had the gal that was covering his calls draw blood and get it worked up. In the meantime, my gelding was slowly losing the battle with his life. Dr. Barry arrived in Kearney around 11:00pm and we were up all night with my horse. Dr. Barry had to be tired, we all know what it's like to be on vacations. You arrive home tired! Then to stay up all night nursing my gelding back to life!
I also use Dr. Deb as my small animal veterinarian. I wouldn't take my pets to anyone else. I have followed her to whatever clinic she was working. Dr. Deb is constantly keeping in touch with the newest and latest. I don't think you could find a better small animal veterinarian.
Needless to say, I consider Dr. Deb and Dr. Barry not only my animal's veterinarians, but very good friends.
